These states exclude federal, military and in state government pensions from taxation. Kansas does tax public pensions from other states though.

Are there any states that have no tax on Social Security?

Yes there are. They include Wisconsin, Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Illinois, Idaho, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Oregon, California, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts and Michigan. Other states have some taxes on Social Security.
