this may be too late, but find a reliable insurance agent who represents both. They have the tools to help you decide which plan is best for you. Use your friends who have done this already as “reference material”. Which agent did they use? What plan did they get? Is their situation the same or different than yours? If you had to decide already, you do have the option to disenroll from a medicare advantage plan from Jan 1st thru Feb 15th into a medigap plan. If you are in a medigap plan and not happy, you can enroll in a medicare advantage plan between Oct 15th and Dec 7th, 2011 for an effective date of Jan 1st, 2012. Good luck.
