gift from mother in april 2006 of money..she now has to go into nursing home..can she go on medicade? has the “look back” time run out?
Once May of 2011 has come around, the 5 year lookback period will be passed. Until then, that gift may be subject to Medicaid.
My mother is already in a nursing home and has run out of money. To fill out an application for Medicaid i have to gather a pile of documents from the last 5 years to prove she truly is out of money. Are there any specific documents that can be helpful without completely packaging 5 years worth of bills and documents and shipping them off.
